The Herriot Way Hike
23-25 September 2005

The Herriot Way, a 52-mile circular walk in the Yorkshire Dales of Wensley Dale and Swaledale was completed over the weekend of 23-25 September by four C3 supporters, Dan Smith, Dave Turnbell, Lawrence sutton and John Williams. The first day took in the climb of Great Shunner Fell and the inclement weather to go with it. This was followed by a tough second day over 25 miles, but with great waterfalls to take in at Aysgarth and Mardraw. Finally a gruelling 14 mile finish brought our weary but elated volunteers back to the start. A fantastic weekend was had by all four, with the sense of achievement heightened by the fact it was for such a worthy cause.
